The competition will be held in two rounds, guitarists of
all age groups and nations are eligible to participate.
1st round Saturday, 16 November, max. 10 minutes free

Final Sunday, 17 November, max. 25 minutes free program

The participation fee is non-refundable.
By registering, participants agree to the rules of the competition and the
decisions of the jury.
Registration deadline is November 1, 2024.
The winner of the first prize may not participate in further editions of this
competition. No juror may judge their own pupil or student.
The jury reserves the right to split or not award prizes in exceptional cases.
The competition takes place in public in front of an audience.
Jury members are sworn to secrecy.
The number of participants is limited. The order of registration
applies.

8th youth competition for guitar Jüchen
Conditions of participation:
Participation fee: 30 €
The competition will take place on November 16 and 17, 2024.
Anyone up to the age of 20 can take part. The program is freely selectable.
Everyone can only participate in their age group. The deadline for age group
classification is November 1, 2024. For ensembles, the average age will be
calculated.
Age groups:
AG "Bambini" : 6 - 8 years
AG 1: 9 - 11 years
AG 2: 12 - 14 years
AG 3: 15 - 17 years
AG 4: 18 - 20 years
The length of the performance is limited as
follows:
AG "Bambini": one piece of your choice
AG 1: 3 - 6 minutes
AG 2: 5 - 10 minutes
AG 3: 10 - 15 minutes
AG 4: 13 - 20 minutes
Points (0-25):
23-25: 1st prize
20-22: 2nd prize
17-19: 3rd prize
If the time limit is exceeded, the chairman of the jury may stop the performance
without devaluation. No juror may evaluate his/her own pupil or student. The
competition takes place in presence. Prizes: Certificates, vouchers and non-cash
prizes. The award ceremonies will take place in the evening concert
on 16 November and in the lunchtime concert on 17 November.
The number of participants is limited. The order of registration applies.

Quartett Rheinsaiten, Phil's Flying Axes (Philipp van Endert, jazz guitar and

16 November, 7.30 pm: Concert with Denis Bizgha and
Gerhard Reichenbach with award ceremony for the completed age groups
17 November, 2 pm: Lunch concert with Jhostin Misael Guzman with
award ceremony for all remaining age groups

Final of the International Competition
"Jugend musiziert" - courses and
master classes:
Courses with the festival lecturers to prepare for the "Jugend musiziert"
competition, which will take place from January 2025 in the "Plucked String
Ensemble" category, and master classes for soloists and ensembles.
Prices: 30 min - 30€ / 45 min - 40 €. Please transfer to the account above.
The courses will take place in the comprehensive school in Jüchen.
Registration for master classes: Please specify two instructors - first and
second preference. There is no entitlement to the first request, but we will try
to fulfill it. Registration: see above

Special prize - state competition Jugend musiziert NRW
The special prize includes the opportunity to take part in the International
Guitar Festival Jüchen free of charge. The festival offers a wide range of
activities: in addition to competitions (International Guitar Competition and
Youth Competition), you can pick up some tips and tricks from renowned musicians
and professors as part of a master class or Jugend musiziert course. Concerts by
international guitarists, workshops, lectures and exhibitions round off the
program.
The International Guitar Festivel Jüchen takes place every year on the 3rd
weekend of November.
