The competition will be held in two rounds and is open to guitarists of all ages and nations.
1st round Saturday, 1 November, 02:00 pm – 07:00 pm, max. 10 minutes free program (Nikolauskloster Jüchen)
Final round Sunday, 2 November, 03:30 pm max. 20 minutes free program (Nikolauskloster Jüchen)
If the time limit is exceeded, the head of the jury can stop the performance.
A maximum of four participants will be admitted to the final, repetitions of pieces from the first round are not allowed.
The awards ceremony will take place on 2 November, 2025 at 06:00 pm at Nikolauskloster Jüchen.
The winner of the first prize may not participate in further editions of this competition. No jury member may evaluate his or her own student.
The jury reserves the right to divide or to not award prizes in exceptional cases. The competition will be held in public in front of an audience.
Jury members are bound to secrecy.
The number of participants is limited. The order of registration is valid.

9th Youth Competition for Guitar Jüchen

Conditions of participation:
Participation fee: 30 € for the solo competition, 15 € per participant for the ensemble competition.
The competition will take place on 1 and 2 November, 2025.
All persons up to 20 years of age can participate. The program can be chosen freely. Each person can only participate in his/her age group. The deadline for the age grouping is 8 October, 2025.

Age groups:

AG "Bambini" : 6 - 8 years old
AG 1: 9 - 11 years
AG 2: 12 - 14 years
AG 3: 15 - 17 years
AG 4: 18 - 20 years

The length of the competition is limited as follows:

AG "Bambini": one piece of free choice
AG 1: 3 - 6 minutes
AG 2: 6 - 9 minutes
AG 3: 9 - 12 minutes
AG 4: 12 - 15 minutes

Points (0-25):
24-25 1st prize
22-23 2nd prize
20-21 3rd prize

Prizes: Certificates and non-cash prizes (sheet music, CDs, pens, etc.).
All vouchers are valid for the year 2026.
